Angel Eyes Designs is the long awaited and anticipated clothing line to come out of Chicago. My name is Angelica Santoyo, Fashion Designer. I graduated from Columbia College in 2002 with a BFA, concentrating in Fashion Design. The "Commonly Rare" Collection was born in October 2008. Angel Eyes Designs' debut collection took place on March 7th, 2009 at Bon V, Chicago. Many people made their way to the show making it a huge success. Soon after Angel Eyes Designs was featured in a Lingerie show along side Akira Fashions with many more invitations to showcase the line. The demand for Angel Eyes clothing has increased and very quickly, the name is becoming known throughout Chicago.
The dream I once had since I was 5 years old is now a reality. The earliest memory I have is when I was given my first doll. We didn't have too much as I was growing up on the south side of Chicago, so my doll only had one outfit. I thought about how cool my doll would look in a different dress. So I took anything I could find to make clothes for her. My passion for designing clothes for dolls has not faded, only now, I have the privilege of dressing real women. Angel Eyes Designs' purpose is to create clothing that is beautiful, chic and unique. The simplicity of the clothes is what separates Angel Eyes from many designers. Angel Eyes clothing is for the individual who wants to look and feel confidant while standing out in a crowd.
